Hopping Back On The Embroidery Wagon

I have been doing so many other projects that my embroidery has taken a back seat. So I just finished my sweet little peach!! I really love all these designs. They are so much fun and so retro. I am still debating on what to do with each piece, but I know it will hit me when the time is right. So here she is before she got all technicolored.

Here is the lovely Miss Peach with a splash of color on her. I don't know why I didn't take any pictures of her during the process. :(
I'll try and do a better job next time.

I hope everyone is having a fantastic Wednesday morning.

Tokyo Subway Quilt

I cut out a few more Tokyo Subway Quilt Blocks this last week and got busy on Block #2 yesterday. I am really excited about this quilt and getting another block stitched up was a lot of fun. I love all the different patterns and fabrics going on here.

Please overlook the unsightly ironing board cover haha. That's another thing I need to add to my list of things to do. I guess it's from starch. I don't know what else it could be.

Here is the finished block and I love it!! However I have a little problem or actually a big problem. I was so excited to see what the two blocks look like together. So I skipped on over picked up Block #1 and put it next to this one.

What in the world happened? I thought I was being so careful when I did my cutting and I thought I was being so careful when I sewed them together. Making sure it was a 1/4". Obviously something has not gone quite right. What do I do know? :( Which one do I do over?
It kind of takes the wind right out of your  sails. We learn from our mistakes so I will figure something out, but not today!I

I hope your having a fantastic day!

Did lots of Farming this week!!

I have been super busy this last week! I keep thinking "it's going to get better next week" and it just seems to be getting busier and busier. Hopefully things will start to slow down a bit and I can relax with my family a bit more. Last week I was able to get a lot of blocks cut out. It was a lot of fun getting to just sew them up one after another. I laid them all out to see what colors I need to add. My honey walked over and said he was really excited for me to finish this quilt. He asked how big it was going to be and I told him I was doing all 111 blocks which comes out to a Queen size. He then said can you add more blocks so it will fit out King size bed? Wow did he just say that? :) I love that man!!!  I'm loving the way it's starting to look. The blocks are so much fun, but a lot of work. It really feels like I should be further along than I am. I'm enjoying each block and can't wait to cut out some more.

So here are the blocks I got done in the past two days.

The first one is Block # 12 Broken Sugar Bowl

Block # 13 Buckwheat

Block #14 Butterfly at the Crossroads

Block #15 Buzzard's Roost

Block #16 Calico Puzzle

I some how skipped three blocks 17-19 and will get busy on those this week.

Block #20 Churn Dash

I also skipped ahead and did Block #102 Whirlpool
It is the same block that Amy from Stitchery Dickory Dock showed us how to do for February's Craftsy BOM. I love that block so I decided to recreate it for this quilt.

I also decided to redo Blocks #2 Autumn Tints
And Block #4 Basket Weave

The last few day have been pretty productive.

I'm linking up with Sew Modern Monday and Manic Monday .
Be sure to stop on by and see what everyone has been up to. Have a wonderful day!

Farmer's Wife in Your Life

I have been so busy this past week I haven't had time to post anything. Actually I haven't even done much sewing, but I have been cutting like a mad woman. I cut out ten Farming Blocks and cut out four Tokyo Subway Quilt Blocks. I'm ready for some sewing time. Can I get a witness!! :) I was able to have a very fun sewing date with a new friend that I met at the Fort Worth Modern Quilt Guild. She asked me if I wanted to join her in a blog hop for Farmer's Wife in Your Life hosted by Sunni over at  Love Affair With My Brother.  I have been doing the Farmer's Wife Quilt Along so of course I would love to do that. Sharon is blogging about it today over at Craizee Corners. She host lots of giveaways and is a triangle genius. Please pop over to her blog and have a look around.
The challenge was to make something other than a quilt with at least one Farmer's Wife Block. She taught me how to make a zipper bag using the block. We had a really fun time and I was super excited, because I put in my first zipper. WOOT WOOT!! She was very patient and a great teacher. Thanks Sharon!
So here is a little photo action of the zipper bag process.

Here is my cute little zipper bag!! Sharon has a tutorial for it over at her blog. Go check it out HERE.

I hope you guys are all having a wonderful day and go check out all the other wonderful projects on the hop.
